Fees are per subject whether painted on the same canvas or not. Shipping, framing, possible travel expenses, and sales taxes are additional. A 30% non-refundable deposit is due before painting starts when commission contract is signed. The balance is due upon acceptance of the completed portrait.
Procedure Portraits from live are developed first from live sittings, preferably in the artist studio. Sitting time varies from three to six hours depending on the sizes and amount of details in a painting. It can be divided into two sessions if total time exceeds three hours. There are intermissions during a painting session and sitters choose poses that are comfortable. After the initial painting from live, the artist will continue the rest of painting in her studio. Portraits can also be developed from photographs provided by clients for certain quality photos .
